There is plenty of time to sit back and enjoy the afterglow of last night’s 4-2 win over the Maple Leafs. The Bruins are back at it again on Saturday against the Blues at 7:00PM on NBCSN.
- Tha old black magic- David Pastrnak’s 10th goal of the season (the one that counted) was witchcraft. Deadspin
- Last night some secondary scoring arrived, including Par Lindholm’s first goal as a Bruin (against his former team, no less) and the Brett Ritchie/Charlie Coyle/Jake DeBrusk line appears to be heating up. HockeyBuzz
- Ice time between the second and third lines was nearly even- by the numbers, the Charlie Coyle line fared pretty well 5-on-5. The Bruins third line (Anders Bjork/Sean Kuraly/Chris Wagner) made Auston Matthews all but disappear. Causeway Crowd
- Don’t call them the fourth line! WEEI
- A weary and John Tavares-free Maple Leafs team couldn’t squelch the Bruins’ first line. Boston Globe
- Three observations from the game include kudos for Anders Bjork in his callup. Boston.com

NHL Standings:
- The Bruins still trail only the Sabres in the Atlantic Division NHL and only Buffalo and the Capitals in the Eastern Conference. NHL In the league overall, Boston remains fifth behind both of those teams as well as the Avalanche and Oilers. (Links are NOT STATIC) NHL
- Note David Pastrnak is atop and Brad Marchand is among the Offensive Leaders, and Tuukka Rask and Jaroslav Halak are still sprinkled throught the goaltending leaders categories. (Links are NOT STATIC) NHL
Elsewhere around the rink:

- Tuukka Rask’s 500th game occurred on an interesting night for other NHL goaltenders. Marc-Andre Fleury and the Wild’s goalie tandem also had a night for the record books. The Hockey Writers
