Game Preview:
Uhhh....It’s not the Blues, I can unequivocally say that.
The Rangers have made zero bones about the fact that they are tanking, their roster is designed to get them as close to Alexis Lafreniere as humanly possible, and they’re-
...Not that bad, actually. Huh. Almost .500. Isn’t that something. A big part of it is the team punching well above it’s weight with regards to some of their opponents, but for the most part they can play the part of a competent team...Most of the time.
The rest...they look like they’re still tanking. Even with the high-powered potential of Kaapo Kakko, they still desperately need to start getting some promising players on that roster before they can hope to compete with Pittsburgh or Carolina.
Granted, Boston just got off a hard-fought win against St. Louis, so whatever their compete level for tonight is, let’s hope they take care of business tonight in case NYR gets any ideas as to it’s station in the grand scheme of things right now.
Regardless, should be a pretty fun game!
