The Bruins made two minor roster announcements on Sunday afternoon: both Joakim Nordstrom and Chris Wagner are out of tonight’s game in New York, and Peter Cehlarik has been recalled from Providence.
Per the team, Wagner is still feeling the effects of that blocked shot from last night’s game, and Nordstrom has an “infection issue,” which seems, uh...bad?
Presumably, Bruce Cassidy will simply slot Cehlarik in on the fourth line, and put David Backes back in the lineup to fill the two spots.
If that’s what he does, here’s what we’ll see:
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - David Pastrnak
Jake DeBrusk - Charlie Coyle - Brett Ritchie
Anders Bjork - Par Lindholm - Danton Heinen
Peter Cehlarik - Sean Kuraly - David Backes
There should be no changes on defense.
Zdeno Chara - Charlie McAvoy
Torey Krug - Brandon Carlo
Matt Grzelcyk - Connor Clifton
After Cassidy bucked tradition and gave Tuukka Rask two starts in a row, Jaroslav Halak will be back in net tonight.
Let us celebrate the true beginning of Slovaktober.
