Hayley Moore named Pride President

Boston has a new president

NWHL

Yesterday the Boston Pride made an organizational announcement naming Haley Moore as team President.

Hayley Moore was the first GM in Pride history as she served that role for the first two years of the league before moving up to be deputy commissioner of the NWHL since then.

Moore is only the third female president of a professional hockey team following in the footsteps of Marguerite Norris-Riker, who served with the Redwings in the 1950’s, and Kim Pegula of the Sabres.

This is a clear result of the new ownership as Moore is quoted in saying “Miles Arnone and his partners have an extraordinary vision for this team, they believe in what we have built, and they are eager to take it to new heights. As a management team, the Pride ownership and staff intend to build the blueprint for an independently owned and operated NWHL club. We will create an industry standard for professional women’s hockey.” in the NWHL press release.

This appears to be the first implementation of the additional resources now available to the Pride.
