Brad Marchand celebrates his “Player of the Game” honor in front of an adoring Toronto crowd

Nice guy, that Brad.

There’s not a lot that we can agree on in today’s NHL.

What is offside? What is goalie interference? How high is high sticking? Are there any horse socks? Is anyone listening to me?

One thing we can agree on, however, is that Brad Marchand is truly a treasure and a delight. Surely, fans league-wide agree on this point.

We got a perfect example of that Marchand love tonight. Marchand scored 2 goals tonight to propel the Bruins to a 4-2 win in Toronto. Prior to the game, this year’s Hockey Hall of Fame inductees were honored.

After the game, one of those honorees, Lanny McDonald of Calgary Flames fame, was on hand to present the “Player of the Game” trophy to...none other than Mr. Brad Marchand!

Instead of being selfish and taking his trophy and going home, Brad decided to share the moment with the adoring Toronto crowd.

A true gentleman, that Brad Marchand. He knows how much this means to Toronto, and was gracious enough to share the moment with them.

Has Toronto ever seen such a player? No, probably not.
