Tuukka Rask kept the Bruins in the game in the first period, bailing the team out while they were getting outshot 14-0 and generally weren’t really in the game.
His teammates returned the favor with a few goals, but the leakiness returned in the third period. Fortunately, Rask was up to the task.
LET’S SEE THAT AGAIN.

The photo that accompanies this post, taken by Steve Babineau, is an early “Photo of the Year” candidate. Babineau nailed the timing.
One of the more impressive parts about the save: Rask made it with his blocker hand, not his glove hand. PALM SAVE AND A BEAUTY.
Rask gets 1st, 2nd, and 3rd star of the night.
Discuss.
