Per Bruce Cassidy at this morning’s media scrum, Patrice Bergeron will not suit up against the New York Rangers in today’s matinee contest. Bergeron missed the team’s two game Canadian road trip with a lower-body injury. He is still listed as day to day.
Jack Studnicka and Connor Clifton will slot into the lineup, while Brandan Gaunce and Steven Kampfer will not dress as a result. This will mark Studnicka’s second NHL game, as he notched an assist in his first game on Tuesday night in Montreal.
Jaroslav Halak will get the nod between the pipes. He is 5-1-3 in nine starts, sporting a .930 save percentage and a 2.40 goals against average.
