Bergeron Remains Out, Bruins Make Lineup Changes

Coach Bruce Cassidy says he remains day to day

NHL: Boston Bruins at Detroit Red Wings Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Per Bruce Cassidy at this morning’s media scrum, Patrice Bergeron will not suit up against the New York Rangers in today’s matinee contest. Bergeron missed the team’s two game Canadian road trip with a lower-body injury. He is still listed as day to day.

Jack Studnicka and Connor Clifton will slot into the lineup, while Brandan Gaunce and Steven Kampfer will not dress as a result. This will mark Studnicka’s second NHL game, as he notched an assist in his first game on Tuesday night in Montreal.

Jaroslav Halak will get the nod between the pipes. He is 5-1-3 in nine starts, sporting a .930 save percentage and a 2.40 goals against average.

Based on pregame warmups, the Bruins will line up as follows:

Forwards

Marchand - Krejci - Pastrnak

DeBrusk - Studnicka - Coyle

Bjork - Kuraly - Heinen

Nordstrom - Lindholm - Wagner

Defense

Chara - McAvoy

Krug - Carlo

Grzelcyk - Clifton

Goaltenders

Halak

Rask

The festivities begin at 1 p.m. on NBC.
