A source confirms to Stanley Cup of Chowder that the Bruins are changing their name to the Boston University Bruins after trading for Charlie Coyle. A league rule buried deep within the CBA allows any NHL club with three or more players within their team system from one university to acquire the naming rights for said school.

Coyle, along with Charlie McAvoy, Matt Grzelcyk, Jacob Forsbacka Karlsson make up the quorum of former BU Terriers needed for the NHL club to make the move.
