The Bruins announced that morning that Trent Frederic has been recalled from Providence on an emergency basis.
The recall comes after Lee Stempniak was sent back to the AHL yesterday.
It's important to note that Frederic's recall is an emergency recall, so he can only play in the event of a skater being unable to go.
He could be up due to an undisclosed injury to someone, but is probably just filling one of the spots vacated by Jake DeBrusk or Marcus Johansson.
The question is where will he play? Frederic is a center. The Bruins could try him at wing, but that seems unlikely.
Instead, the B's could elect to put Frederic at 3C, where he played before, and move Charlie Coyle to the wing with David Krejci or Patrice Bergeron.
We'll see!
