The Bruins beat the Islanders 5-0 in New York last night. On to New Jersey to face the Devils tomorrow at 7:00PM on NESN, only nine more regular season games to go!

  • The Bruins last night gave a very complete performance. What a change from last week’s skid! Boston Herald
  • Sean Kuraly had played without a goal for 22 games and yet he scored twice, while Charlie Coyle was the king of puck posession without seeing any reward on the scoreboard. Go figure. WEEI
  • There was no slow start nor any goals yielded early (or at all, for that matter) by the Bruins. Bonus- a shot heatmap. HockeyBuzz
  • Jake DeBrusk is the key to victory, because numbers don’t lie. (with video) NESN
  • Three brief points from the win include sticktaps to Matt Martin for trying to spark his team by challenging Zdeno Chara to fight. Bruins Daily
  • Call it a tantalizing preview of what the Bruins can be in the postseason. Imagine only allowing 13 shots on Tuukka Rask! CBS Boston
  • David Pastrnak returned to action, if not quite to form. 985 The Sports Hub
  • We forgive Charlie McAvoy for his youthful attachment to his local NHL team. Zdeno Chara likewise has fond memories of Long Island, and also an opinion about where the Islanders should play. Boston Herald
  • Now Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak have been chirping each other on Twitter. BarDown
