Know Your Enemy:
- Kyle Palmieri is your leading goal scorer and point getter on the Devils with 27 goals and 50 points in 70 games.
- Nico Hischier dishing out the most assists with 27 in 62 games.
- Your starter, whatever that means for the Devils, is Mackenzie Blackwood. He has a .915 SV% in 19 games
- The Devils are bad at most things. It would be pointless to go over it. Suffice to know they usually are part of the grand 5 or 6 teams that never attempt shots nor do they get them to the net in any conceivable fashion.
Game Preview:
In the time between March 2nd and now, the New Jersey Devils got eliminated from Playoff contention. This was a long time coming and it’s a blessing at this point, because they’re quite bad at hockey right now and a lot of their roster you could tell me was randomly generated and I’d believe you.
The Bruins’ last meeting with the Devils was some 1-0 snorefest of which the only thing that could be considered a positive about it was that it ended in victory. Hopefully, Boston can summon that level of structure and tenacity they brought against the Islanders for a much more fun beatdown-oriented game where Jack and Brick end up on a vision quest of a conversation somewhere between periods 2 and 3.
This would also be a great time for those players in the middle six who are struggling to do much of anything to maybe get some points on the board before the B’s get back into division play on Saturday.
We’ll see you for the gamethread!
