Game notes

  • I believe the Bruins aren’t having a morning skate today, so we won’t know too much about the lines. Karson Kuhlman will slot in somewhere. Marcus Johansson probably isn’t quite ready yet; same deal with Kevan Miller and Matt Grzelcyk.
  • These two teams met just a couple of weeks ago, with the Bruins winning a thriller in regulation. That was the game the Bruins tied with under a minute left, then won with a few seconds left on the clock.
  • The Panthers are heading for another DNQ, which has to be disappointing. After coming so close to the playoffs last season, another season of coming up short isn’t what the team was looking for. The team has a lot of talent, but has glaring holes that weren’t really addressed this offseason.
  • The Panthers won their last game, beating Arizona by a score of 4-2. That win snapped a quick two-game skid.
  • Per our friends at Litter Box Cats, the win over Arizona ended Roberto Luongo’s five-game losing streak. It was also his first game in a couple weeks.
