The Bruins practiced today, and after last night's loss, fans were eager to see what was going to change.
Uh... not much.
Per the team, here are your lines:
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - David Pastrnak
Jake DeBrusk - David Krejci - Karson Kuhlman
Marcus Johansson - Charlie Coyle - Danton Heinen
Joakim Nordstrom - Noel Acciari - Chris Wagner
Zdeno Chara - Charlie McAvoy
Torey Krug - Brandon Carlo
Matt Grzelcyk - John Moore
Hmmmmmmmmm...
A few things jump out here. First, Bruce Cassidy appears to be happy sticking with the top six that got them this far, in spite of the lackluster performances so far.
Next, it looks like David Backes may be the odd man out if Marcus Johansson is ready to go.
Finally, it appears that John Moore may be ready to go.
Your thoughts?
Personally, I think Backes has done fine this far, and while his speed issues may pose a problem, I'd rather see him in over Nordstrom.
Moore coming in could help solidify things a bit, and Johansson would be a welcome addition.
Finally, there was a familiar face:

He's not ready to go yet, but at least he's getting closer.
