Time to break out the brooms?

NHL: Stanley Cup Playoffs-Boston Bruins at Carolina Hurricanes James Guillory-USA TODAY Sports

Just the Facts

Game Notes

-The Bruins enter PNC Arena looking to sweep the Hurricanes and get some rest entering the Stanley Cup Finals. The sweep would be the first for the Bruins since the 2012-13 Eastern Conference Finals versus the Pittsburgh Penguins.

-Tuukka Rask appears unbeatable. In the three victories against Carolina, Rask owns a .944 save percentage and 1.67 goals against average. The likely favorite for the Conn Smythe, Rask has bailed the Bruins out when they needed him to most. He looks to stay hot against a desperate Hurricanes team on the brink of elimination.

-Chris Wagner will not play in game four and has been flown back to Boston. Wagner hurt his arm by blocking a rocket from the point in the third period of the Bruin’s game three win.

-Noel Acciari re-enters the lineup in Wagner’s place. He will play right wing and slot in alongside Joakim Nordstrom and Sean Kuraly.

-Curtis McElhinney will ‘probably’ start game four, according to Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour. The 35 year-old veteran boasts a 1.70 GAA and .943 SV% in these Stanley Cup Playoffs.
