The Bruins are heading back to the Eastern Conference Final!!!!!!

The B’s eliminated the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight by virtue of a 3-0 win in Game 6. Waiting for the Bruins will be the upstart Carolina Hurricanes, that bunch of jerks that has gotten under the skin of Don Cherry and caught the attention of the hockey world with a great run so far this spring.

It’d be a real shame if it had to come to an end. Real shame...

The Hurricanes eliminated the defending champion Washington Capitals in 7 games in the first round, then ran right over the New York Islanders in a sweep in the second round.

The ‘Canes are young, they’re fast, and they’re hungry.

The Bruins were 2-1-0 against Carolina this regular season:

  • The beat Carolina 3-2 in Raleigh back in October.
  • They lost to Carolina 5-3 in Raleigh right before Christmas.
  • They beat Carolina 4-3 in overtime at the Garden back in early March.

No word on a schedule yet, but we’ll do our best to keep you posted.

Until then:
