Bruins finish day with Par Lindholm and more depth signings

New, comments

On Par with the rest of the day, I’d imagine.

St. Louis Blues v Winnipeg Jets - Game Two

And as we roll around to the evening, the Bruins finished their day with a bunch of signings to possibly make up for the loss of Noel Acciari or maybe another player somewhere down the line, and also re-signed another RFA!

Starting with!

Par Lindholm - 2 years/$850k

A 6’0 center from the Leafs/Jets whose largely been in a depth role, looking for his chance to really belong to a squad. His last year had him total 13 points, all but one of whom were assists. He’s better used in a defensive role and hey! Is that a great fit for the Bruins fourth line or what?

Brendan Gaunce - 1 year, 2 way/$700k

Colorado Avalanche v Vancouver Canucks

A 6’2 Center-Winger whose previously from the Canucks system. The story of his career so far has been that he’s been fine in AHL play, but has yet to translate that to the big leagues. He’s depth that’ll likely do gangbusters on a young, hungry, and talented Providence Roster...assuming they don’t all get injured like they did last year.

Ryan Fitzgerald - 1 year/700k

Mister “37 points in 60ish AHL games” returns, baby!

He’s gonna continue his play down in Providence in all likelihood.

Josiah Didier - 1 year, two way/700k

A depth defender who had the honor of being on the Calder Cup champion Charlotte Checkers last year. A solid pickup for the Providence Bruins, if nothing else.

And with that, that probably concludes Day one of free agency. What do you think of the signings?
