Boston’s third jersey for 2019-20 leaks!

The new third sweater for the Black and Gold lives!

And now we know what the B’s may be wearing at some home games this year!

Icethetics, a logo/jersey cataloger/aficionado shared a post from reddit that shows what the Boston Bruins may be wearing during the 2019-20 season in addition to their home and away sweaters:

from the same leaker, whose username was so idiotic i dare not repeat it.

More black. Ho hum. The Pooh Bear renaissance will have to wait.

As Icethetics notes, it does take quite a few cues from the previous year’s Winter Classic sweater, but it takes the most inspiration from the late-40’s team, and more specifically the team’s “away” sweater from their 25th anniversary season. The kind Milt Schmidt wore!

Shown here in the sweater they wore the year after because apparently nobody thought to take pictures in 1948-49.

Now granted, there is a chance that these could be a mere fashion jersey, but given how Boston rarely (if ever) promotes or makes those nowadays, it’s looking like this might be the genuine article.
