Welcome to Cehptember

The time has come.

The calendar has turned, leaving August behind and putting a new month upon us.

In the spirit of that newness, it is time to embrace Cehptember.

Here at Stanley Cup of Chowder, I am a man of the people. And when the people demand more Peter Cehlarik content, who am I to object?

Let this Cehptember be a Cehlebration of all things Cehlarik.

Amen.

Today’s Cehlarik Fact

Peter Cehlarik is from Žilina, Slovakia. Žilina is the twin city of Plzeň in the Czech Republic. Plzeň gave the world pilsner beer, but it also served as the 2013 lockout home of a goalie named Tuukka Rask, who played for HC Škoda Plzeň.

Žilina is also the hometown of Radoslav Židek, who was the first Slovak to ever win a medal at the Winter Olympics.

He took home silver in the snowboard cross in Turin, Italy back in 2006.

Rock on, Radoslav.
