Preseason PREVIEW: Boston meets the Blackhawks

Your local radio station will be your guide tonight as Boston makes it’s way to the windy city for Preseason Game #3!

Just the Facts:

The Time: 8:30pm

The Place: United Center, Chicago, Illinois

The only place this is being broadcast, apparently: 98.5 The Sports Hub because screw you, that’s why. We’ll let you know if one or both sides found a working iPhone camera to stream this on

The Stakes: Someone has to be a RWer for the B’s, and a couple of somebodies need to replace Miller and Moore while they’re on the mend. Let’s find out who makes their case tonight!

Game Notes:

  • Unlike a lot of other teams, the B’s have opted to announce their first cuts of preseason after tonight’s game, and even then, Cassidy stated he could call guys up to double check how he feels on them. By contrast, Chicago has already sent 9 players on their way to Rockford.
  • The ‘Hawks are currently 1-2 on the preseason.
  • Adam Boqvist has been, at least to fans over at Second City Hockey, the most obviously “ready” prospect they have on-hand at the moment. Meanwhile Alex Nylander and Dominik Kubalík have been very intriguing as they’ve had strong camps so far.
  • Last chance for quite a few players to make an impression on Bruce Cassidy. Let’s se-well...not “see”, maybe hear how they do?
