If you’re an established veteran in the NHL, there are two objectives in the preseason:
- Shake off the rust.
- Do not get hurt.
It appears that David Krejci may have, unfortunately, not been able to achieve #2.
Krejci had skated just a handful of shifts early in the Bruins-Flyers game on Monday night when he went down awkwardly in front of the Philly net:

He didn’t skate another shift after that. Early in the second period, the team announced that Krejci was done for the night with a lower-body injury.
Ideally, this is just a precaution, as the Bruins have nothing to gain from playing Krejci through a tweak or strain.
In any case, NOT IDEAL.
