The Bruins made a series of expected roster moves this morning, solidifying things a bit in light of Tuukka Rask's concussion.
First, Rask was placed on injured reserve. This freed up a roster spot for Dan Vladar, who has been recalled from Providence.
It looks like the Bruins would like to see what they have in young Vladar in Rask's absence, rather than going with the more experienced Max Lagace.
Worth noting: now that Rask has been placed on IR and will miss the All-Star Game, I wonder if the league will rescind the suspension? I'd guess probably not, as he already declined and was replaced prior to being injured, but we'll see.
Also recalled from Providence was Karson Kuhlman, who has been working his way back from injury for a couple of weeks now.
Kuhlman should add a bit of juice to the Bruins' forward corps, which is badly needed at this point.
Undoubtedly, many fans are disappointed to see Trent Frederic's name absent from the list, as there were hopes that he'd come up and start punching people.
Instead, the Bruins chose to recall a faster player who has a bit more experience and is a better fit in the lineup right now. Frederic will likely get a call at some point in the near future.
Your thoughts? Kuhlman as 2RW, or somewhere else?
