This weekend Jillian Dempsey moved into uncharted territory. The five-year veteran of the NWHL became the first player in league history to reach the 100 points with her first assist in the win over Minnesota on Sunday.
Entering the season Dempsey had tallied a total of 65 points including seven points in the playoffs. She has tallied 36 points already this season, her previous high was 15 twice. Her 101 points in only 96 games gives her a 1.1 PPG average for her career to date, she is at 1.7 this season.
She has been battling with Madison Packer of the Metropolitan Riveters for the all-time lead but currently has a sizable advantage.
