Zdeno Chara OUT versus the Jets

Zdeno Chara, two days after fighting Vakov Trenin, will not suit up in tonight’s contest. He did not speak to the media after this morning’s morning skate. Chara’s jaw was recently operated on again (you know, the same one that broke and he showed herculean effort to play on during the Stanley Cup Finals?) on December 23, and surely Trenin’s punches did nothing to ease the pain. Cassidy told the media in attendance this morning that Chara’s jaw was “fine”.
