Let’s see if I can actually publish this one in the morning this time...
Wednesday! No real personnel news from the Bruins in terms of signings/comings/goings, but we did get some news yesterday: there were a whole bunch of surgeries in September!
Charlie McAvoy, David Pastrnak, and Brad Marchand all had some kind of surgical procedure done last month, with varying timetables for their return.
McAvoy appears to be the best-off of the bunch, while both Marchand and Pastrnak will reportedly miss time (if the season starts on time).
Interestingly, while Boston is known to have some of the best hospitals/medical facilities in the world, Pastrnak had his surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.
That facility is ranked as the best hospital in the country for orthopedics, so I guess it makes sense. Still, it may suggest something about the complexity of his injury.
Ideally, everyone’s back to full speed relatively quickly.
Today’s highlight
Hey, remember the Thrashers? Good times.
Today’s discussion topic
