It is Wednesday, my dudes.
While things are pretty quiet for the Bruins in terms of team-related moves and transactions, there’s been quite a bit going on off the ice, particularly with Chris Wagner.
The Mayor of Walpole has had himself quite a few days as we head toward November.
Yesterday, Wagner and Charlie Coyle hung out with some local kids in Roxbury, playing street hockey and having an early Halloween celebration.
Earlier this week, Wagner got engaged to his longtime girlfriend (congrats to the happy couple) and spent some time in the Caribbean.
Finally, the Bruins announced Tuesday that Wagner’s beer, brewed by Harpoon, had raised almost $50,000 for the Corey C. Griffin Foundation; the foundation raises money for “underprivileged youths and those with medical challenges.”
Griffin was buddies with a lot of the pro hockey players from around the Boston area, so it must feel great for Wagner to give to such a personal cause.
So...early Halloween, street hockey, engagement, vacation, big beer donation? Not bad, Mr. Mayor.
Today’s highlight
This was a wild game, and that was a beautiful finish.
Today’s discussion topic
Are you beer people? What’s the best beer?
