The first night of the 2020 NHL Draft is in the books!
As usual, there were some surprise picks, but what would a draft be without something random?
The New York Rangers had the slam dunk of the draft, selecting Alexis Lafreniere first overall. Expect to see him at Madison Square Garden next calendar year.
Your top five picks:
- New York Rangers- Alexis Lafreniere, LW
- Los Angeles Kings - Quinton Byfield, C
- Ottawa Senators - Tim Stutzle, LW
- Detroit Red Wings - Lucas Raymond, LW
- Ottawa Senators - Jake Sanderson, D
The Bruins, by virtue of the Ondrej Kase trade/David Backes salary dump, didn’t have a pick last night, but they’ll be on the big board today!
The B’s have picks in the second, third, fifth, sixth, and seventh rounds, barring any trades.
Today’s festivities will begin at 11:30 AM.
Today’s highlight
A GLORIOUS DAY!!!!!
