Oliver Ekman-Larsson’s self-imposed “trade me by 12 PM Eastern time on October 9 or don’t trade me at all” deadline has come and gone, and it appears that the player is sticking to his word:
Oliver Ekman-Larsson's agent Kevin Epp tells me that OEL is staying with the Coyotes: "Time's up."

"He's staying," says agent Kevin Epp.

So there you have it!
Depending on your perspective, the Bruins either missed out on a big deal or dodged a bullet.
Remember, Ekman-Larsson has full trade protection, meaning he had to allow any deal Arizona made. He made it clear that he’d accept a trade to either the Bruins or the Vancouver Canucks.
Now that his deadline has passed, the Coyotes are free to continue to shop him all they want, but it appears that the Swedish defender will simply veto the deals to stay put.
Of course, we’ve seen things like this happen before, so it wouldn’t be shocking if something popped up down the line.
However, at this point, it appears that we may be posting the final chapter of the Oliver Ekman-Larsson To The Bruins saga.
What a long, strange trip it’s been...
