Hockey East announces 2020-2021 schedules

The Conference had been promising a schedule for awhile with its planned November 20th start date fast approaching, yesterday it came.

Boston College Athletics

Yesterday Hockey East released the schedule for all member schools both men’s and women. The teams will play home-and-homes (except with Maine and Vermont which both games will be at the same location).

In addition three of the final five weeks of play will include what the league is calling ‘Flex Weekends’ which will be deemed as Non-Conference play. These games will be cancelled and replaced with games that have been postponed from earlier in the season.

At this time there is no other Non-Conference play and the Beanpot’s fate has yet to be determined. The conference tournament is also TBD.

Fan attendance is at the discretion of the home team but many schools have already announced policies prohibiting fan attendance at least through the new year.

The League also announced that all games will either be available via NESN or for free via one of the ViacomCBS Digital platforms that the league has partnered with. The NESN schedule through January 1 can be found in the Press Release.
