Tuesday!

The Bruins had a bit of a news dump yesterday evening, announcing that they’d re-signed restricted free agent Jake DeBrusk to a new two-year deal.

DeBrusk’s $3.675 million AAV is a fair deal for both sides, giving the Bruins some flexibility and giving DeBrusk a chance to further prove himself and earn a big raise in a couple years.

So...what’s next?

Per CapFriendly, the Bruins have just over $2.9 million in cap space left to play with this offseason.

That should be more than enough room to bring back Zdeno Chara, but it remains to be seen whether there’s interest in a reunion by either party.

Given the space remaining, it seems unlikely that the Bruins make any sort of big splash as we get closer to the regular season (whenever that may be).

At this point, it looks like this is the roster the B’s will have come Future Opening Night.

BIG GAME JAKE.
