NHL teams are reportedly going to be wearing new third jerseys for the upcoming season.
Dubbed “Reverse Retro” jerseys, rumors had gone around a few weeks ago that Bruins were going to go with a gold jersey for their version.
If our man Pete Blackburn is to be believed, the rumors were true:

Uhhhh...huh.
I’m not entirely sure what to think about these. I’m glad that they’re going back to gold, as I’d kind of seen enough of the black alternates.
However, I think dafoomie put it best:
We know some of you wanted the Pooh Bear, and others the 80s jersey. So fuck you, here's something nobody wanted.https://t.co/qxcMqPBuEv

I don’t think the Bruins were ever going to go back to the Pooh jerseys, but this one seems kind of like a mash-up of a few different things.
The crest and Meth Bear are straight out of the 1970’s. However, the stripes along the bottom look like the late 1960’s.
Basically, there’s a lot going on here.
This is likely going to be a case of a “looks better in person” type deal, so I’ll reserve full judgment for now.
But the initial reaction is a solid “meh.”
