Morning Skate: Back in business

Happy Monday! It’s a short week for most people this week, with Christmas on Friday.

If you work in any kind of retail...hang in there. The end is in sight.

For most of us, we’re now looking forward to a beginning, not an end: a new season will get started in just a few weeks, with the official announcement coming yesterday.

Things seemed to come together pretty quickly, and appear to be getting started even more quickly.

Think about it: we went from no real concrete information to “we’re playing real games in 3 weeks” in pretty much no time at all.

No complaints here though. It’ll be nice to have something to talk about again other than rehashing the same stuff over and over and over.

Oh, who are we kidding. We’ll still be talking about the same storylines. That’s life. World keeps spinnin’.

Anyways, what’s on tap for the week?

The Bruins are going to be seeing plenty of the New York Islanders this season. Let’s hope we don’t see plenty of this.
