It is Wednesday, my dudes. The second-last day of 2020!
Training camp is just hours away for a few teams, but so far, some of the biggest news in NHL circles has been who ISN’T playing this coming season.
Henrik Lundqvist’s bombshell about needing open heart surgery was wild, then it was announced yesterday that Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks will be out indefinitely with an unidentified illness/ailment.
Toss in the fact that Kirby Dach broke his wrist at the World Juniors and the Blackhawks could be in a spot of trouble when the puck drops.
In Bruins Land, there’s not much doing. Patrice Bergeron was at Warrior Arena yesterday as players continue to trickle in.
Still no news on the Zdeno Chara front. With training camp under a week away, you have to think it’s time for both sides to either figure it out or move on.
What’s on tap for today?
Today’s highlight
Speaking of Jonathan Toews, this series didn’t end well for the Bruins, but hey...this was a nice moment for Daniel Paille.
Today’s discussion topic
Who’s your dark horse Stanley Cup winner this season?
