A trade!
Danton Heinen to ANA for Nick Ritchie
— Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) February 24, 2020
The Bruins are reportedly acquiring forward Nick Ritchie from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Danton Heinen.
Ritchie is signed through next season at a cap hit of $1.5 million. He currently has 8 goals and 11 assists in 40 games.
His career high is 31 points in 60 games, so...not exactly an offensive dynamo.
Dealing Heinen will give the Bruins a bit of cap space, but will cost them a three-zone player.
Still, the acquisition of Ondrej Kase meant there was one fewer forward spot.

Nick Ritchie (to Boston) is a strong offensive driver with no hands to speak of. pic.twitter.com/q6PLqLnXov

Nick is the brother of Brett, who the Bruins waived last month.
