Bruins lines vs. Islanders: Leap day, leaping forwards

Defense looks to stay the same, but some guys are leaping around on offense

NHL: Boston Bruins at New York Islanders Sarah Stier-USA TODAY Sports

With Chris Wagner ruled out for today, it looks like there will be some shifting around on the third and fourth lines against the New York Islanders.

If the lines from yesterday’s practice hold true, Karson Kuhlman will be back in the lineup, sliding down with Coyle. From there, the decision will seemingly come down to who fills in on the fourth line: could be Joakim Nordstrom, or it could be Anders Bjork if Bruce Cassidy decides to get creative.

Of course, Cassidy isn’t exactly shy about putting every line but his first in a blender, so...who knows!

With the obvious caveat that Cassidy may change his mind, here’s what you can look for this afternoon:

Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - David Pastrnak

Nick Ritchie -David Krejci - Ondrej Kase

Jake DeBrusk - Charlie Coyle - Karson Kuhlman

Sean Kuraly - Par Lindholm - Joakim Nordstrom/Anders Bjork

The defense pairs remain more stable:

Zdeno Chara - Charlie McAvoy

Torey Krug - Brandon Carlo

Matt Grzelcyk - Jeremy Lauzon

Tuukka Rask will likely be in net.

See you this afternoon!
