Per a few different reports on Twitter, the Bruins are signing a new college free agent.
St. Cloud St free-agent D Jack Ahcan, who "quietly had an excellent senior season," according @SchlossmanGF, is headed to BOS.

Jack Ahcan, a 22-year-old defenseman, just finished his senior season at St. Cloud State. he served as captain during his last college campaign.
Ahcan will turn 23 in May. He's just 5' 8", meaning Bruins fans will immediately compare him to Torey Krug, fair or unfair.
He's a left shot who recorded seven goals and 18 assists for the Huskies last year.
What kind of player is he?
Jack Ahcan is nice get for Bruins. Underrated as a defender, he has excellent hands and his IQ and vision complement the rest of his skill set. NHL scout I talked to this winter called him a modern-day defenseman https://t.co/xAudQimzwI

Ahcan represented the United States at the World Junior Championships a few years back. He recorded 103 points in 144 games over the course of his college career.
While he won't be expected to jump into the lineup next year, he's an interesting piece to have in the mix.
Ahcan is the Bruins' second college free agent signing of this break period, as they signed Nick Wolff out of the University of Minnesota Duluth earlier in March.
While wolf is pegged as a big, tough player, it looks like Ahcan is more of a skater/puck-mover. Never hurts to have a little of both in the system!
Coincidentally, both Wolff and Ahcan are from Minnesota.
If nothing else, nice to see that the Bruins are keeping busy while hockey is on pause.
