Tonight’s feature is the final Bruins v. Canadiens matchup (preseason) played on old Boston Garden ice as part of the Last Hurrah aired on good old WSBK UPN TV38 on September 26, 1995. @Dafoomie has spooled it up to roll at 7:00PM.

To set the stage, YouTube offers this 1992 station promo featuring Derek Sanderson with Fred Cusick offering a chance to vote for the Seventh Player Award (by good old USPS mail, natch.) Bonus- scan backwards for a chance to see Dana Hersey hosting The Movie Loft airing of “The Fighting Sullivans. Boston Garden was actually not razed until 1998, and there is video of a walkthrough at that time as well as a brief view of demolition partially complete. The new ShawmutCenter FleetCenter TD Banknorth Garden dwarfs the old arena.
