We’ve got a date!
The NHL and NHLPA announced today that on July 10, training camps can officially open to start Phase 3 of the NHL’s Return to Play Plan.
It has not been determined how long the training camps for the 24 teams will last before Phase 4 (the Stanley Cup playoffs) will begin.
What does it mean? We’ll have a month of voluntary workouts before the Bruins can all be reunited at Warrior Ice Arena.
Until then, it will be interesting to see the combinations of who pairs up to work out together and who might take shots at Tuukka Rask.
Not to rain on the parade, but the news above comes with an obvious caveat: the July 10 opening of training camp is “provided that medical and safety conditions allow.”
It’s a start though! If all goes according to plan, we’ve got just under a month to go...
