Morning Skate: Wide, man

If you’ve been reading this site for a while, you know that I have a soft spot for Dennis Wideman.

Overly maligned during his time with the Bruins, he eventually went on to make me regret having that soft spot when he bundled a linesman, got suspended, and then didn’t play again.

Wild. Anyways, he’s an assistant coach with the Kitchener Rangers in the OHL.

That’s today’s Wideman update.

Today’s highlight

ANYWAYS. The reason today is Wideman Discussion Time is because I thought of this goal the other day, and it is truly one of the more satisfying one-timers I can remember.

Plus, the highlight has Vladimir Sobotka, Michael Ryder...good times.
