It’s Canada Day! Here’s one goal from each Canadian Bruin

Always celebrating a few days before us, those Canadians.

Happy Canada Day to all of our friends north of the border!

While we’ll be celebrating Independence Day in the United States a few days from now, our Canadian pals are celebrating their fine land today.

In the spirit of celebrating Canadians, let’s celebrate the Canadian members of the Bruins!

A surprising thing from putting this together: there are only 5 Canadians currently on the Bruins roster. Given how many Canadians there are in the league, that was a surprisingly low number.

Anyways, it’s not about the quantity, but the quality, and the B’s have plenty of quality Canadians.

Patrice Bergeron - Ancienne Lorette, QC

There are plenty of Patrice Bergeron goals to choose from, but here are 3 goals he scored in a game against a team from Canada’s capital city. It doesn’t get much more Canadian than that!

Jake DeBrusk - Edmonton, AB

Not one, but TWO goals in a Game 7 against Canada’s least favorite team.

Jeremy Lauzon - Val D’or, QC

They don’t ask how, right? Not a bad way to score your first NHL goal.

Brad Marchand - Halifax, NS

Everyone’s favorite Canadian has scored bigger goals in his career, but I don’t know if he’s scored any that were more satisfying than this one.

Nick Ritchie - Orangeville, ON

He hasn’t been here that long, so this one will have to do!

Enjoy the holiday, folks!
