Like any minor league franchise, the Providence Bruins have sported various different jerseys and colors to pay homage to events ranging from military appreciation to pop culture.
Over the years, we’ve seen a strong collection of Providence jerseys come to light. While it’s hard to keep track of all these special jerseys, let’s narrow it down to some of our favorites in no particular order.
Back to the Future
Worn February 14, 2020
Providence faced Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Valentine’s Day, skating at 88 miles per hour to a 4-2 victory in these nifty sweaters.
The jerseys celebrated Comic Con coming to Rhode Island in November.
Wait a minute, Doc! These Providence Bruins x Back to the Future jerseys are unreal.

Star Wars
Worn March 23-24, 2018
It wasn’t that long ago in a galaxy far, far away, but rather just two years ago when the Lehigh Valley Phantoms came to town. Providence used the force to sweep the weekend series, and looked sharp doing it.

Providence Reds
Worn multiple times
There have different iterations over the years, but the Providence Bruins have been kind to the city’s previous hockey tenants by sporting the Providence Reds’ throwbacks on occasion.
Take a look at this look donned in October of 2010.
American Flag
Worn in 2001-02
Providence is one of America’s greatest little cities, and they literally wore a flag to prove it.
Almost two decades ago, Providence sported the flag design on a jersey just once, but we argue it should’ve stuck around for a bit.
Here’s the top worn by Chris Kelleher that season.
Military Appreciation
Worn multiple times
Each year, Providence has a military appreciation night where they sport camouflage or special emblems to pay homage to the men and women who serve our country.
These sweaters have taken on a different look each year, so here are a few highlights.
