NHL changes the date of the Bruins-Caps round robin game

An extra day’s wait.

As we’ve noted many times during the NHL’s Return to Play proceedings, things are subject to change.

The NHL made one of those changes, albeit a minor one: the Bruins and Capitals will now be playing their round robin game a day later than originally scheduled.

The B’s and Caps will face each other on Sunday, August 9, at a time to be determined later (mainly due to the league needing to see what happens with the play-in round series).

It appears that the reason for the change is a flip-flop of the other Eastern Conference round robin, as the Philadelphia Flyers were originally scheduled to play the Tampa Bay Lightning on August 9, but will now play them on August 8 instead.

Certainly not a major change, but hey: gotta stay on your toes.
