They had to get rid of two skaters.

As the teams prepare to settle into their hub cities, the league required final rosters to be submitted from each franchise.

The Bruins had two skaters too many, so cuts had to be made. The two players from the initial group who didn’t make the final roster were forwards Anton Blidh and Paul Carey.

It’s a tough break for those two. While they weren’t likely to get much ice time, it still must be hard to get all the way through this wacky training camp, only to get sent home right before the plane takes off.

Those cuts also mean the young guys like Jack Studnicka and Zach Senyshyn remain in the mix for playing time in the coming games.
