Morning Skate: Well, it’s Monday

New, comments

A new week after a holiday weekend.

Before we start, look at that photo!

It’s from 1989. There’s something about those older hockey photos that makes them special...the sharpness, the colors, the lighting.

Anyways, it’s Monday! Hope you had a nice long weekend (or regular weekend, if you’re not in the United States).

We’ve got the first full week of July ahead of us, and within a week, we should have a solid idea of when training camp will begin.

We’re seeing a lot of baseball players opt out of the upcoming MLB season, MLS players testing positive, NHL players testing positive...it’s a scene, man.

I guess the takeaway here is that things are still very, very fluid for the NHL.

Today’s highlight

This was quite a game for the future of the Bruins, as both Charlie McAvoy and Jake DeBrusk each scored their first NHL goals.

Not bad!

Today’s discussion topic

If (and it’s a big if) the NHL has its playoffs, what’s your biggest area of concern regarding the Bruins?
