After the Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus Blue Jackets decided to play The Never Ending Hockey game, it appears the league decided the Bruins and Hurricanes shouldn’t wait anymore.
Well, what’s a few more hours?

Morning hockey?????
As this post goes up, the Columbus-Tampa game is in the intermission before the 5th overtime.
Several reporters said that the league requires almost 90 minutes between games, so even if this one ended 10 seconds into 5OT, the start time would be pushing 11 PM, which is not ideal.
I guess this is the risk you run with a single site for playoff games, though you can’t really fault the NHL for not anticipating 5 overtimes.
So we wait until tomorrow!
We’ll make you a new Public Skate. Use the existing one to watch the rest of The Never Ending Game.
