The Philadelphia Flyers eliminated a scrappy Montreal Canadiens tonight, meaning our second-round match-ups are set!

The Flyers will play the New York Islanders, and the Bruins will play the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The B’s went 1-2-1 against Tampa Bay during the regular season, and lost to Tampa by a 3-2 score during the Return to Play round robin.

Tampa dispatched the Columbus Blue Jackets in five games in the first round.

With the match-ups set, NBC announced that Game 1 of the Bruins-Lightning series will be at 8 PM Eastern on Sunday night.

My guess is that this will be an NBCSN exclusive because it’s the second round, but we’ll let you know when it’s settled.

In all likelihood, the league will release a full schedule later tonight or tomorrow morning.

In any case, it’s Tampa! The round robin contest was pretty spirited, so if nothing else, this should be a fun series.
