The NHL released its tentative schedule for the rest of the second round this morning, after both last night’s and tonight’s games were postponed.
The league has scheduled Game 4 of the Bruins-Lightning series for tomorrow at noon, so get ready for some lunch hockey!
It appears that we won’t have another set of back-to-back games added in, however, as Games 5, 6, and 7 are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, respectively; we already knew 6 and 7 would be back to back (which remains insane).
Anyways, here’s the full schedule, subject to change:
- Game 4: Saturday, August 29, 12 PM - NBC, 98.5 The Sports Hub
- Game 5: Monday, August 31, 7 PM - NBCSN, 98.5 The Sports Hub
- Game 6: Wednesday, September 2, TBD
- Game 7: Thursday, September 3, TBD
This week, most of the SBN sites elected to hold off on publishing any content in the wake of the postponements across the world of sports, and we joined them.
If things pick back up tomorrow, we’ll have you covered.
The Bruins, as a team, released this statement yesterday in regard to the postponement of the games:

Triple-header on Saturday
While the Bruins didn’t get another set of back-to-back games jammed into their series, hockey fans will have a nice slate of games on Saturday.
If you don’t have plans (and it looks like remnants of Hurricane Laura will be passing through Massachusetts this weekend, so you might be stuck inside), you’ll have plenty of hockey to watch:
- Noon: Bruins vs. Lightning, Game 4
- 7 PM: Islanders vs. Flyers, Game 3
- 9:45 PM: Canucks vs. Golden Knights, Game 3
So...you just need to fill that space between 3:30ish and 7...maybe the Bruins and Lightning can go to triple overtime.
