The New York Islanders are still alive!

Jordan Eberle’s 2OT goal extended the series on Tuesday night, and the Isles and Tampa Bay Lightning are right back at it again tonight.

As a neutral third party, you should be rooting for the Islanders, because Game 7’s rule.

As a Bruins fan, you should be rooting for the Islanders, because Tampa is lame.

So basically...go Islanders!

In Bruins land, there isn’t a ton going on right now. You’ve got your usual free agency speculation and rumors, but there’s not exactly a feeding frenzy out there.

We’ll get things picked up again here with player reviews and other post-season content soon, as well as some looks at what the Bruins may/should do in free agency.

The Bruins are definitely in a weird free agency spot, as they’ve been a team that you’ve looked at and said “they need to just go for it one more time!” for about 4 years now.

Is this that year? Time will tell.

Today’s highlight

WEEI’s Scott McLaughlin wrote an interesting piece floating why a “one crack at the Cup” deal for Taylor Hall might work.

As you can see, he’s still pretty good.

Today’s discussion topic

How much would you pay for a single year of Taylor Hall?
