The middle of the week is upon us!
Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final is tonight, with the series between the Dallas Stars and Tampa Bay Lightning tied at a game apiece.
This is, of course, being described as a PIVOTAL GAME, which has always struck me as funny. It’s the playoffs. Isn’t every game pretty pivotal?
Game 4 will be played on Friday, then the NHL is embarrassing itself by playing Game 5 on Saturday.
Insane.
There is absolutely no reason for the league to have games on back-to-back nights during the Stanley Cup Final. You’re in a bubble. You are the only teams playing. You’re the only sporting event happening at the arena in Edmonton.
What are you doing?
Then again, it’s the NHL. These thing seem to always happen with this league.
Today’s highlight
Go Stars.
Today’s discussion topic
ESPN.com published a cool piece yesterday, detailing life inside the bubble from the perspective of some anonymous players.
Give it a look, and discuss. The craziest part to me was the players being responsible for their own room service tabs.
