With the end of the season comes the end-of-season media availabilities, where players stand in front of reporters and answers questions on the just-completed campaign.
Due to the pandemic, these will be done as virtual interviews over several days, as opposed to the sadder, “locker room clean-out” days in person.
Bruce Cassidy spoke to the media yesterday, and a number of players, including Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, and Jaroslav Halak, are slated to speak today.
What will we learn? Injuries, probably. But also thoughts on the bubble, and where the team goes from here.
For his part, Cassidy acknowledged some frustration in losing to Tampa again, while also discussing the troubles his team had finding the right mix between speed and muscle.
He also commented on activating his defense more, and finding ways to generate more 5v5 offense.
Don Sweeney’s name was dropped multiple times as well, and we know he has plenty of work to do in this shortened offseason.
Should be fun!
Today’s highlight
Tyler Myers is still in the league.
