A new season is upon us.

FOLKS. It’s Monday, which is tough...but it’s the Monday of the first week of the new NHL season!

The league will kick things off on Wednesday night, with the Bruins getting started on Thursday.

One can’t help but wonder/worry about how things are going to go with the league in terms of COVID, as this time, they’ll be playing without a bubble.

A lot of it will fall on the shoulders of the players/staff and them taking personal responsibility, which can be a mixed bag.

A few NHL teams have already had to shut things down due to COVID, and the NBA is facing an increasingly problematic COVID situation; Sunday’s Celtics vs. Heat game was postponed due to Miami not having enough healthy players to field a team.

Hopefully all parties involved take things seriously, but it’s hard to imagine the season without interruptions.

Still, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it!

What’s on tap for today/this week?

Today’s highlight

The beatings don’t get much worse than 9-0.

Today’s discussion topic

Who’s the Bruins player you’re most looking forward to seeing this season? I’m torn between seeing how Ondrej Kase does and seeing how Charlie McAvoy performs as (officially now) The Man on defense.
